April
Certifications:
Vinyasa & Hatha Yoga (RYT-200hrs, 2016), Aerial & Paddleboard Yoga (RYT-100hrs, 2017), Mat Pilates (Level 1 & Level 2, 2018)
FB: April Teaches Yoga & Pilates
IG: @aprilonthemat
April teaches yoga and Pilates as “mind, body, breathing” practices. She took her first yoga class in 2013, and in 2016 found herself teaching it full-time at an array of yoga studios and wellness spaces in Metro Manila (The Yoga Shala Manila, White Space Wellness, P.Y.T studio, Beyond Yoga, Snap Fitness, Anytime Fitness, Moro Lorenzo Sports Center at Ateneo de Manila University, to name a few).
On the mat, April likes to explore more intuitive ways of moving and flowing, allowing for the space to find what works for your body and your practice. She seeks to empower her students to personalize their practice – to listen to their body and to adapt, experiment, and allow themselves to play and have fun, finding what serves them best in the moment.
As a student and teacher of movement, April looks to yoga and Pilates as a means to balance self-acceptance and the determination for self-improvement. Through these disciplines, you learn to focus your energy and intention toward a clear goal. At the same time, you learn to take a step back, and be in the moment, enjoying the journey itself and grateful for what you, and your body, can accomplish.

Tanya
Certifications:
Yoga Teacher Training (2014), Prenatal and Postpartum Yoga (2019)

In 2018, Tanya sought to explore different types of yoga to expand and deepen her practice. When she became a mom to her beautiful daughter, she realized how yoga can be helpful and integral to the well-being of moms and expectant moms. She trained to be a Prenatal and Postpartum Yoga instructor in 2019.
Using her passion, experience, and expertise, Tanya delves into carefully curated yoga poses and breathing techniques to teach yoga in a manner that is safe and effective. Her approach to yoga is a balance of correct breathwork, strength, and flexibility, with focus on core rehabilitation. She believes that any pose can be a core workout if you can properly locate and activate the core. She takes inspiration in strong women who know how to prioritize themselves.
